Blog Swap

I recently participated in Kate's blog swap. It was so much fun....and I got paired up with an awesome partner Jordan @ Two dogs, a Girl and a Husband's Grace. Let's just say she found everything possible to make me a happy girl! First and foremost here is the cute gift bag everything was in. The boys and I were so excited to tear into everything!
This is what we saw once we opened the box inside the bag.....how exciting does that look? Ty and Cole were grinning from ear to ear!

Look at all the gifts in there!!! She went way out of her way on this one!!!

She got both of my boys books.....they LOVE reading books. I tried to get a picture of Cole with his book but he was running away from the camera saying NO and swating me away. So I will try to get one on his terms ASAP! This is Ty really excited about his Cowboy book. You know, he is a real cowboy now that he is a mutton buster!

Blake and I were super excited about this little jewel! This is a 1 YEAR subscription to Texas Monthly magazine....YAY!

And I also got some yummy treats to share with my kiddos!

Somehow Jordan must have known that my toenails were in major need of some new polish because she set me up with an awesome stash of polishes! And look how cute this fingernail file and cute Vera Bradley cover is. Now I won't think twice about pulling this baby out in public!!!!

And boy did she know how to get to my heart with this one. Anyone who knows me knows I can't live with out my daily Sonic drink....or two ;0)

I thought this notepad was WAY TOO CUTE! The saying on it is Because I'm the Mother....That's why!!!!! Love it!

Also she included this cute magnet.

And last but not least!! This was the icing on the cake!!

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of this! It is the cutest heart charm!

Thank you so much for everything Jordan! I hope you enjoyed all your gifts as much as I enjoyed mine!

Bootylicious!!!

Just when I thought Cole had quit biting I was in for a RUDE awakening. This is how it all went down. I was getting dinner ready for Ty and Cole. I had Ty tugging on one side of my dress telling me it was beautiful. Cole on the other side with the vintage flower print in his mouth seeing how far he could stretch backwards and stay standing. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain right on my rump roast....I guess Cole saw a flower on that dress that was irresistible because he sunk his teeth so far into it that I let out a big OOUUCCCCHHH!!!! I have to say that that boy has got one heck of a bite!

In Their Eyes

When I look into Ty and Cole's eyes I see and feel so many things. I see their imagination, trust, their playful love, their excitement at even the most simple things. I see their sadness when they feel like they have let someone down, their enjoyment when they get praise from a job well done, and also how they study small details and take everything is as if they will never experience certain things again. When I look into their eyes I feel overwhelmed by their unquestionable love, I feel sad that one day they will grow up and I will not be able to "fix everything", I feel ecstatic that one day they will find love, and I feel a nervousness at trying to do everything possible to show them how to live their life in a good honest way... hoping that it will make them wonderful young men one day. When I look into their eyes I feel a warmth that makes me feel at peace with whatever life throws at me, I feel happy that I was so lucky to be blessed with two wonderful children. But really when it comes down to it, all that I can hope and pray for is, when they look into my eyes they can see and feel only one thing....unconditional love.

Dora Live

Yesterday we took the boys to see Dora Live...compliments of Uncle Coby. He got the tickets from work and we were more than happy to take them off his hands. Ty was so excited because he saw on the commercial that Diego would be there too. Both of them could not take their eyes off the stage. I was shocked at how Cole was completely still and watched the whole show. This is very rare for him. He is on the go from the min he wakes up until the min he goes to sleep. Thanks Coby!! The boys had a blast!
